Larry is here to help players of all ages and skills to develop their game through recreational, and competitive programs. As an ATC club member, you will get to know our resident tennis pro Larry. He can assess your level of play and assist with finding players best suited for your game. At Albany Tennis Club, all the staff are here to foster a true community environment and to make your tennis experience enjoyable.

Teaching Pro
A native of Delmar, Chris began working at the club as an attendant in high school, later becoming a staff pro under Larry Yakubowski. Christopher played #1 singles at the Doane Stuart School, where he currently works as a teacher and school librarian, and participated in club and intramural programs at Skidmore College, the University of California at Davis, and Bucknell University. He enjoys providing instruction to beginner to advanced players of all ages and is available for private lessons and hitting sessions.

Teaching Pro
Jack Curry has many years of experience working in the tennis industry. He has traveled extensively educating teachers and coaching players. As a former National Clinician and Certification Tester for the Professional Tennis Registry, he has conducted more than 175 tennis teacher workshops in the United States and Canada. Jack has taught at various private clubs in upstate New York, including Troy Country Club and Glens Falls Country Club. During the winter months, he has taught at South Beach Racquet Club and Palmetto Dunes Resort in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Jack enjoys working with players of all ages and skill levels. He has been a professional educator, coach, and teaching pro for his entire career. Jack has a profound approach for teaching tennis that makes a difference in his students' lives.

Daytime Attendant
Harry Lentz has served as a Daytime Attendant at ATC for the past 2 years. He retired form 25 years in the Flooring Industry, working as an architect & designer rep for a wholesale distributor. He travelled monthly to all of Upstate NY, VT and Western Massachusetts. His military service was in the Airforce from 1965 to 1969. He was the Treasurer of the Capital Bicycle Racing Club for 7 Years and treasurer of the Albany County Pistol for 3 Years. His love of tennis began when he was 16. His other interests include, shooting sports, gunsmithing, kayaking, bicycle riding, motorcycles, archery, and following European football.
His favorite recovery, after 22,000 steps of tennis and grass cutting, is to go to Thompson Lake and SOAK for 30 minuets in the Lakes healing water!
Harry says "it is a privilege to provide all I can in service to my friends at ATC. There is nothing like opening that gate at 6am on a summer morning!"
